HeritageHumayun's Tomb
Delhi, Delhi
Commissioned by Humayun's widow in 1569, this was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent and a direct architectural ancestor of the Taj Mahal. Its symmetrical charbagh gardens, water channels and Persian-influenced dome make it one of Delhi's finest monuments.
